2025 Gregg Tichacek Memorial Tournament @ Lake Evergreen

Posted by on Sep 30, 2025

On Saturday, September 27th, the IMTT hosted the Gregg Tichacek Memorial Tournament on Lake Evergreen just north of Bloomington-Normal. The day started cool and calm but turned to a warm bright sky day with a slight breeze. The majority of the boated fish came during the morning major around 8am, with the top three teams boating their catch within 11 minutes of each other. There were a total of 5 fish registered for the event.

1st Place went to Tim Gustaferro Jr. And Tim Gustaferro Sr. with Tim Jr. catching a 47″ fish. This also landed Tim Jr. The Big Fish pot for the event.

2nd Place went to Mike Jacob and Jim Beaty with Mike catching a 44″ fish.

3rd Llace went to Teigan McCoy and Greg Ries with Tiegan catching a 40.25″ fish.

The other two fish were caught by Jay Dunnett, 39.25″ and Clay Irby, 37.5″.

We want to thank everyone who came out to fish with us and hope we can see everyone again one, or both, of our remaining 2025 events.

The IMTT will be back on the water in two weeks, fishing Prairie Lake on October 11th. And then we will cap off the season with the 2025 State Championship on Lake Kinkaid November 1st & 2nd.
