2025 Fall Classic – Prairie Lake

Posted by on Oct 21, 2025

On Saturday, October 11th, the IMTT hosted the 2025 Fall Classic Tournament on Prairie Lake located in Jim Edgar Panther Creek State Fish & Wildlife Area. Our anglers were met with heavy fog in the morning that stayed in place until around 10 a.m. The fog was heavy enough at times that you could not see any boat that was more than 50 yards away. Once the fog cleared, the remainder of the day was spent in sunny conditions with light East/Northeast winds. Water temps were 69-72 throught the day.

Despite some great anglers working over the 200 acre lake for 9 hours, the vast majority fo muskies did not seem to care about most any lure that was presented to them. In total there were only 4 or 5 fish contacted during the day. Only one angler was able to put a fish in the net and to his good fortune, the fish just made the 30″ minimum required. At approximately 7:30 in the morning Kenn Blair, who was fishing as a solo, was able to land a 30″ fish which captured him 1st Place, all the available prize money, and the Big Fish pot for the event. Congratulations to Kenn on succeeding during a tough bite. We were also able to capture a photo of Kenn in the wild a little before catching his fish that shows off just how foggy the morning was.

We will conclude the 2025 season with the State Championship Tournament on Kinkaid Lake November 1st and 2nd. The tournament is open to anyone who has (or does) signed up to be a 2025 IMTT member. Anyone that has not fished at least two IMTT events this year would have na entry fee of $225 with the applicable $30 membership fee if not already paid. We will host a Saturday evening dinner and raffle with this event. The dinner is included in your entry fee. We will also awarded all of iur end of year prizes at this conclusion of this event.
