2023 Jake Wolf Memorial @ Prairie Lake

Posted by on May 11, 2023

Sometimes the muskies win. On Saturday, May 6th, 22 anglers worked over Prairie Lake trying to find at least one muskie over 30 inches. Despite the overcast weather, the muskies did not want to comply. The winds were strong out of the South, Southeast and the rain that was supposed to hold off until near the end of the event started late morning and lasted for about 3 hours.

With no measuring fish caught, and in accordance with the IMTT rules, the prize pool was split amongst three teams that were drawn at random. Had anyone caught just one measuring fish, they would have gone home with $2,200.

We will put this disappointing day of fishing behind us and look forward to our June 10th date on Johnson lake at Banner Marsh.

We hope to continue to see more new faces as we work through this year’s events.
