2023 Gregg Tichacek Memorial Tournament @ Lake McMaster

On Saturday, October 7th, the IMTT hosted the 2023 Gregg Tichacek Memorial Tournament on Lake McMaster located in Snakeden Hollow State Fish and Wildlife Area. 20 anglers faced post cold front conditions with high temperatures over 20 degrees cooler than just two days prior. Winds were strong out of the Northwest and the morning skies clear with some clouds developing late in the morning.

The fish were not all that interested in showing themselves and definitely not that interested in biting a lure. There were some fish contacted, along with a few getting hooked but lost. With about 45 minutes left in the event, one angler did manage to get a muskie in the bag.

1st Place went to the team of Duane Landmeier and Victor Fox. Duane landed a 40.5″ fish, which resulted in winning the top and only prize for the event, as well as the big fish pot.

The IMTT has one event remaining for the 2023 season. We will be hosting our State Championship Tournament on Lake Kinkaid November 4th & 5th. This event is open to anglers who have not been able to fish with us yet during 2023. This event will include a Saturday evening dinner, raffle, and food drive.
